Memphis police reported a woman was assaulted in a Cordova Walmart parking lot by the ex-wife of her boyfriend.
45-year-old Catherine Hayslett was arrested on Tuesday for aggravated assault and booked at the Shelby County Jail from the incident that occurred on March 19.
The victim claimed she was loading her car with her groceries when she saw Hayslett coming at her with a sharp weapon.
She said Hayslett started swinging the weapon at her and struck her several times. Hayslett appeared in court today.
