6 people have died as a result from yesterdays storms that have swept across the Mid-South. Weather related deaths reported in McNairy County, Obion County and in southeast Fayette County. A family of five was in their trailer as a tornado lifted the trailer off the ground and killing one. When county EMS arrived around 1:50am, they found the mobile home was upside down and the mother trapped. She was taken to Regional One in critical condition while other family members were taken in stable condition. The father was pronounced dead on the scene.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves says that preliminary reports show damage in Tate, Marshall, Benton, Tippah, Alcorn and DeSoto counties.
