Over the weekend, a human trafficking raid in East Tennessee resulted in the arrest of nine people, including a man anda woman from the Memphis area.
30-year-old Vincent Billingsley of Memphis was charged with one count of drug possession and one count of promoting prostitution.
38-year-old Cordova resident Morgan Garrett was charged with one count of promoting prostitution.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the covert operation featured special agents from five different agencies as well as TBI’s Human Trafficking Unit.
TBI said the objective of the operation was to find people who intended to have commercial sex with minors.
Officers posted a number of false advertisements on websites linked to sex trafficking over the weekend.
Nine people were ultimately charged and taken to the Sumner County Jail. TBI also stated that two victims of human trafficking have been recovered so far and are making efforts to find the other victims.
