On Wednesday, traffic was rerouted and some resident’s water supply was cut off due to a water main break in Germantown’s Poplar Estates neighborhood.
Around 12:45 p.m., Germantown Police reported that Poplar Estates Parkway was closed between Brookside Drive and Great Oaks Road as Public Works workers performed repairs.
Some homeowners in the area will have their access to water temporarily cut off, according to the City of Germantown.
It is anticipated that repairs could require several hours of work.
