LOCAL | Shooting In Broad Daylight Near High School Left Two People Dead

A shooting near a South Memphis high school has left two people dead.

On Thursday afternoon, Memphis Police were called to a shooting that occurred on Mississippi Boulevard, a short distance from Booker T. Washington High School.

Deputy Chief Webb Kirkdoffer said that two men were declared dead at the scene.

The victims’ ages were not disclosed by Memphis Police.

According to a witness, he saw three men chasing someone while wearing ski masks and automatic rifles. The witness also said the suspects shot the person six to ten times before returning and firing further shots.

The witness added that there were at least three gunman and that both of the male victims were teenagers. No suspect information has been released yet.
