Due to the lack of new leads, New York City police says Jam Master Jay’s 2002 murder has gone cold.
Today (Oct. 30), marks the 15th anniversary of Jason “Jam Master Jay” Mizell of Run-DMC’s death. In 2002, Mizell was fatally shot in a recording studio in Jamaica, Queens at the age of 37. To this day, his case is unsolved, and unfortunately it may remain that way. Due to lack of new leads and evidence, New York City detectives have ruled Jam Master Jay’s murder a cold case.
