FINAL VOTE | City Council To Vote On Keeping Or Removing Chief CJ Davis

CJ Davis’ job seems to be in jeopardy as it’s in the hands of the Memphis City Council who will vote on Tuesday whether to keep or replace her.

This comes after a vote two weeks ago when seven of the 13 members voted against Chief Davis to retain her position.

Of course, any one of the seven could change their mind in the final vote which could sway it the other direction. If they do, however, vote to remove her, newly-appointed Mayor Paul Young would have to select a temporary interim until one is permanently chosen.

The vote is expected to begin at 3:30pm. Live updates can be heard on the Nation of Jake radio show from 2pm-5pm.
