School spankings could officially become a thing of the past after a bill was filed that would ban corporal punishment.
Corporal punishment in this bill means any form of physical punishment like spanking and paddling would no longer be allowed.
Tennessee law does allow for school staff to use physical punishment in a reasonable way in order to ensure order in the classroom.
