Brent Taylor has made a household name for himself in the fight to get crime in Shelby County and Memphis under control. Filing multiple bills to assist law enforcement and the judiciary with more tools to arrest, detain and try cases. He has also asked for an investigation by the TBI into why no arrests were made by law enforcement of those in charge of the protest that shut down the I40 bridge during their pro-Palestine demonstration calling for local government to call on federal government to demand a cease fire in the Israel Hamas war.
