UofM | New Campus Police Chief Keith Humphrey Announced

There will be a new chief of campus police at the University of Memphis.

Keith Humphrey, former Little Rock police chief, was announced this week as the new head of the campus police after serving 34 years in law enforcement.

In their press release, UofM boasted highly of him by stating that in his tenure as police chief, he will be in charge of roughly 70 employees.

“Throughout an extensive search and interview process, the selection committee’s top priority was to identify a candidate with a proven track record of effective leadership, a commitment to diversity and inclusion,” the press release said. “And a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within a campus environment.”
