Shelby County Division 3 Judge James Jones signed an order to release more documents in the case of Tyre Nichols. In the latest documents from MPD’s ISB, LT. Williams told LT. Colonel Lanier that excessive force was used and that “relief of duty” needed to happen. In the thousands of pages of documents released, there are emails to MPD from at least 2 witnesses from the night that 5, now ex-cops are accused of beating Tyre Nichols during a traffic stop.
