A small plane crashed on the side of I-40 in Nashville on Monday night leaving five people dead.
It was confirmed overnight that the five people that perished in the crash were all passengers of the flight.
There were no casualties of people on the ground, and the plane did not strike any buildings or cars during the wreck.
The wreckage left the interstate lanes going east shut down as investigations began at the crash site. They reopened the lanes closer to 3 a.m. on Tuesday just in time for morning commuters to pass through.
