LOCAL | Trial Delayed For Rapper Young Dolph’s Alleged Triggermen

The pair of accused gunmen in the 2021 murder of Young Dolph now have a new trial date.

Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith have been scheduled for September 23.

This is a result from the postponing of their initial trial date of June 3. The other suspect in connection with the planning of the murder, Hernandez Govan, will have a court hearing on July 29.

The defense and the prosecution are both requesting extra time to pull together better witnesses for the case.

This all follows the murder of Adolph Thornton Jr., aka Young Dolph, outside Makeda’s Cookies on November 17, 2021.
