One person was rescued from the Mississippi River Friday morning, but authorities are still looking for another person.
According to reports, a bystander contacted police at 6:45 a.m., saying they heard someone pleading for aid in the river.
Officers from the North Main Precinct came and observed the man in the water. According to witnesses, the victim called for help for nearly 25 minutes before help arrived.
The search and rescue effort could last all day in collaboration with MFD.
