Flames were seen rising from the same South Memphis residence where a man had been discovered fatally stabbed the day before.
Around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, the Memphis Fire Department was called to East Georgia Avenue for a reported house fire.
No casualties were recorded, and the fire’s origin is still unknown.
MPD is investigating whether there is a connection between the instances. No further details have been revealed by the police.
