After it was discovered that around 10,000 containers of apple juice sold in Walmart shops nationwide contained potentially dangerous amounts of inorganic arsenic, the company recalled the product.
Last Friday, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration upgraded the recall from its original August 15 designation to a more serious one.
According to the revised categorization, there is a chance that the impacted product will have short-term negative health effects, but major or permanent medical problems are unlikely.
Reports of potential illnesses linked to the apple juice recall have not been shared by the FDA.
