Due to “severe weather conditions,” a commercial aircraft was diverted to Memphis International Airport early on Wednesday morning.
The plane was rerouted to Memphis from its initial destination of Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport via Cancun, Mexico.
Although the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority acknowledged that there were “reported injuries” on the flight, they also stated that United Airlines will have additional details regarding the incident.
The Memphis Fire Department verified that the aircraft carried 182 individuals, only one was taken to Regional One hospital.
