LOCAL | Boil Alert Issued For Arkansas City After “Significant Leak”

Helena-West Helena, Arkansas has issued a boil water notice.

Running water has been cut off for a large number of inhabitants in the Arkansas city. The town’s water tank levels dropped on Saturday, according to City Chief of Staff James Valley, due to a significant leak.

This isn’t the first time that city has faced this issue before. Following a previous winter storm, pipelines in the city ruptured, leaving households without water for the entire season.

The city’s officials are expecting to have the well completed by Friday and the water flowing again by Tuesday.
