LOCAL | Police Chase Leads To Gunfire, One Injured, Two Suspects Still Missing

A chase in the Hickory Hill area on Monday morning resulted in an officer-involved shooting that left one male suspect injured. There are still two more male suspects missing.

Memphis Police say they responded to a call in the 6500 block of South Country Oaks Circle just after 1 a.m.

A Nissan Maxima was discovered in a wrecked state on Kirby Parkway. According to the police, the suspects then fled on foot from the car which sparked a chase by police.

Officers shot at the suspects during the pursuit, and the investigation is determining why shots were fired to begin with.

Police say they helped the suspect up until the point when he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. In addition, police report that they are still looking for two male suspects.
