LOCAL | Man Shines Laser At Tennessee Highway Patrol Helicopter, Charged With Aggravated Assault

According to Memphis Police, a man was taken into custody on Saturday after repeatedly aiming a laser at the Tennessee Highway Patrol helicopter’s cockpit.

For the incident, 47-year-old Eric Price is facing three charges of aggravated assault.

According to a state trooper, the laser was being lit from a shed located behind a residence on Angelus Street.
Price was taken into custody and released on a $20,000 bond. Since then, he has been set free.

The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that they will also be investigating.
