The victim of Wednesday’s shooting outside a club in Midtown was identified as Blake Rhea, a singer from Memphis.
On Thursday, his alleged murderer was taken into custody and accused with first-degree murder.
The suspect was identified as 51-year old, Edward Wurl. Rhea and Wurl got into a verbal altercation inside Louis Connolly’s Bar before leaving.
According to investigators, after the two men fought at Rhea’s car, Wurl shot Rhea and left the area.
Wurl was arrested and charged with Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun and First Degree Murder.
