On Wednesday, Tipton County Animal Control and the Covington Police Department (CPD) said that they were looking for two “vicious pit bulls” who were roaming the neighborhood.
Numerous cats, other canines, and local wildlife have been killed by the dogs.
They described the dogs as a medium-sized white mixed breed, likely a pit bull mix, with dark spots and the bigger dog as dark gray or black pit bull mix with white markings on the chest and feet.
CPD advised anyone who spots the canines to report their whereabouts by calling dispatch at 901-475-4300 rather than approaching them.
Covington Police released an image captured from a security camera of one of the dogs.
