According to the Greater Memphis Chamber, xAI announced plans to expand in Memphis by purchasing a one-million-square-foot facility in Whitehaven.
The Whitehaven estate was purchased for $80 million.
Only a few weeks prior, the Memphis City Council had approved the sale of 13 acres of property to xAI for the construction of a wastewater recycling facility in Southwest Memphis.
Nvidia, Dell, and Supermicro Computer, three IT behemoths, will also have offices in Memphis.
