Wing Guru’s founder and owner, Billy Richmond Jr., released a statement following his indictment last month on charges of tax fraud and theft.
Richmond claimed he did not purposefully or knowingly falsify or misreport any financial documents and that he freely turned himself in to the police.
This came after Richmond was charged with two counts of sales tax fraud and theft over $250,000.
According to the indictment, he attempted to avoid paying state sales taxes from 2018 to 2022.
He was held on a $50,000 bond.
